Education and Training
Prepared2Thrive™ Community Workshops
Prepared2Thrive™ Community Workshops offer non-clinical preparedness education for individuals and families navigating the practical realities of dementia beyond medical care.
Many people are told after a dementia diagnosis to “get their affairs in order,” without clear explanation of what that means or where to begin.
Prepared2Thrive™ Community Workshops help participants make sense of that phrase in practical, non-alarming ways by focusing on everyday decisions, common questions, and preparation steps that may be worth exploring.
Community workshops may cover:
- Understanding what a diagnosis changes and does not change in daily life
- Reframing preparation as a gradual process rather than an urgent task
- Translating “get your affairs in order” into clear planning areas and next steps
- Identifying decisions, documents, and conversations that may matter over time
- Increasing awareness of safety, support, and emergency considerations without fear
- Leaving with clearer questions to ask and practical steps to explore next
Workshops are educational and non-clinical. Participants are not asked to share personal experiences and may engage in ways that feel comfortable for them.

Prepared2Thrive™ Care Team Training
Prepared2Thrive™ Care Team Training provides non-clinical preparedness education for care organizations supporting people living with dementia and the families involved in their care.
This training is designed for senior living communities, home care agencies, healthcare adjacent organizations, and other care teams seeking a structured approach to communication, engagement, and preparedness across the dementia journey. It supports staff and leadership in understanding the practical decisions families face, encouraging meaningful participation, and engaging in conversations that preserve dignity, clarity, and trust.
Care team training may cover:
- Understanding common non-clinical questions and decisions families face after a dementia diagnosis
- Introducing preparation conversations in ways that feel respectful, timely, and appropriate
- Strengthening communication with people living with dementia while honoring their preferences and participation
- Supporting families as they navigate differing perspectives, questions, and expectations
- Explaining planning steps and responsibilities without creating fear or urgency
- Encouraging clearer understanding across staff, residents, and families to reduce confusion and misalignment
Training is educational and non-clinical. It is designed to support preparedness, communication, and shared understanding rather than service delivery.
